MORE SCHOOL VISITS!

I had a GREAT time at my school visit in New Jersey!

Talk about making a guy feel welcome! Look at this. I got my own parking space. Pretty sweet. Well, I'll just have to snap a picture of this and send it to my friend, author and fellow Dan, Dan Gutman. Ha! Won't he be impressed!

Oh, no! He sent me a photo from a school he was visiting right at that very moment! His own private bathroom! Curses!

Well, I had students waiting for me to give my presentation, so I just shook it off and ran to the auditorium. As you can see, we're all having a blast! I ignore the texts I'm getting on my phone while I'm giving my presentation. Hmmm. Who could it be?

During a break I discover it's- oh no- that pest Dan Gutman again and he's harassing me. Isn't this guy supposed to be speaking to students?

I usually do 3 presentations a day and here I am with the second group. We're having a great time.

Time to sign some books! What you can't see in this photo is the massive pile of books awaiting signing, which is fine by me! I love to sign books for kids. Also not pictured is a bucket of ice water to soak my arm.

Ah! Time for lunch. I grew up in New Jersey, so I know the Italian hero is the way to go! This brings me back to my youth. But there's no time to dawdle, the kids (and unsigned books) are waiting for me!

Presentation #3 goes off without a hitch, except for all those pesky texts on my phone! Who can it be now?

It's another text and a photo from that Gutman character. This time he sent me a photo of students and teachers holding up my books. Well, maybe he's cool after all.

Back 'atcha, Dan! We rallied the kids together and managed to shoot a photo of them holding up books a'la Gutman before it turned into total chaos.

Hey, wait a minute! There's another text...

It's Dan Gutman again. Ha! Some writer! Doesn't he know you don't spell it with a B?

  1. It's so good to see our author friends getting along...and even egging each other on!

  2. PS...when it comes to parking spots vs. potty spots...the potty wins, lids down!
