One of the great things about living in New York City is the museums. Just to let you know, all New Yorkers don't go to museums every weekend (we also pretty much never go to Times Square, unless we have to), but when I saw that the Museum of the City of New York was having an exhibit of brilliant illustrator Mac Conner, I jumped on the subway and headed uptown.
The museum itself is quite beautiful and close to Central Park.
It was so wonderful to see his work so large!
I was a bit awestruck, seeing the actual original artwork. That guy sure knew how to paint.
If you're in the area, I urge you to go. It's up until February 1, so hurry!
